The restoration of the Ace Hotel in the area of Glyfada, includes the aesthetic, functional and energy upgrade of an existing property, consisting of two individual buildings that differ in height by one floor. An important element that governs all the interventions is the improvement of safety during the use of the building, its energy upgrade, the achievement of accessibility in all areas for people with reduced mobility, the enhancement of the functionality of the complex and its harmonization with the current requirements of hospitality spaces. The above is achieved by extending all elevators and staircases up to the roof level, creating fire-protected vertical escape routes, replacing the windows, adding thermal insulation and modernizing the EM installations, in order to improve their energy efficiency. In addition, the structural strengthening works include interventions to the supporting structure and the shell, allowing the addition of a water element and pergola with shading elements to achieve outdoor ventilation at the upper level.
