HANGZHOU

The building intends to break the coldness and solid, monolithic treatment of the skyscraper and give it the form and function of a living organism. In this project we explore organic shapes and curves inspired by the ripples of water, using glass that strongly reflects the external environment, the sky and the neighboring river. The result gives a sense of fluidity and natural movement, with the skyscrapers appearing as a part of the natural landscape rather than strict and solid structures.
