E-HOUSE
E-HOUSE
Based on the horizontality and low height of the buildings in the periphery of Ekalis, an equally horizontal structure is proposed, which is emphasized by the flat, metal roof that seems to float both inside and outside the building. Although the intervention has to do with a vertical addition, the horizontal position of the composition is emphasized, which creates a contradiction between the perceptual and the actual dimension of the work, forming corresponding visual shifts and movement patterns.
The design emerges from a disciplined understanding of space, through the use of clean lines and materials, and is articulated in a simple geometric form, based on a formal grid system. This minimalist configuration allows for the existence of interconnected spaces, freely arranged, encouraging unobstructed movement and continuity, both on the internal and external boundaries of the building, with the intention of creating a zone of tranquility and prosperity.
